Former India captain Sourav Ganguly takes charge as BCCI President
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly today assumed the charge of President of Board of Control for Cricket in India - BCCI. He was officially entrusted with the task of heading Indian cricket for the next nine months at the BCCI`s General Body meeting today. With Ganguly’s election, the almost three-year-long reign of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators has come to an end.

During the meeting, Mahim Verma of Uttarakhand was elected as the new vice-president, Jay Shah was made the secretary. Arun Dhumal became the treasurer and Kerala`s Jayesh George took the joint secretary`s position.
