Sukma attack: Tributes paid to martyred CRPF men
Tributes were paid today to the nine CRPF personnel with full military honours in Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The CRPF personnel were martyred on Tuesday when a landmine blast blew up their patrolling vehicle in Sukma district.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir paid homage to the brave soldiers. Ahir said that Naxals have been carrying out attacks in frustration. Ahir visited the state to review the ground situation of the incident. Chief Minister Raman Singh also visited the hospital in Raipur last evening and met the injured CRPF personnel and prayed for their speedy recovery.

On Tuesday, Nine Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred after suspected Naxals blew up their mine-protected vehicle in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma, around a year after a dozen jawans were killed in a similar ambush in the district. Officials said the incident took place around 12:30 pm along the Kistaram-Palodi road of the district when the troops of the 212th battalion of the CRPF were out on an operation.
