Supreme Court denies interim bail for arrested ex-judge Karnan

The Supreme Court refused to give relief to former Calcutta high court judge CS Karnan on Wednesday. SC said Karnan should bring his case before a seven-judge bench after the summer break. The judges DY Chandrachur and SK Kaul told Karnan’s lawyer that “judicial equity was observed in the case” and that Karnan will have to remain in jail for now.
