Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Jakarta on Monday evening, July 6, to begin a high-profile state visit to Indonesia. The visit marks the first leg of his three-nation tour, which will also include Australia and New Zealand.
The Indonesia visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to bilateral ties, with discussions focused on maritime security, defence, trade, economic cooperation, and strengthening long-standing cultural and people-to-people links.
Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Melbourne on July 10 to participate in the third India-Australia Annual Summit with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The summit is expected to expand cooperation beyond traditional defence into emerging strategic sectors.
Following Australia, Prime Minister Modi will visit New Zealand on July 11. The visit is significant as it will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand in 40 years.
