A consultative meeting of the newly elected BJP MLAs was held on Tuesday at the party’s State Headquarters under the chairmanship of Puducherry BJP State President V.P. Ramalingam. Union Minister and BJP Election In-charge Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, State In-charge Nirmal Kumar Surana and other senior leaders attended the meeting. During the meeting, Mannadipet MLA-elect A. Namassivayam was selected as the BJP’s Legislative Party Leader in the Assembly. Elected MLAs A. Johnkumar from Mudaliarpet, G.N.S. Rajasekaran from Thirunallar, and T. K. S. M. Meenatchisundaram from Neravy-T. R. Pattinam also participated in the discussions. NDA ally Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi leader and Kamaraj Nagar MLA-elect Jose Charles Martin, along with Independent MLA-elect from Nedungadu Dr. V. Vigneswaran, also took part in the meeting. The meeting deliberated in detail on the political and administrative steps to be taken in the coming days, particularly with regard to the formation of the new government in the Union Territory.
