Today marks the second and final day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Oman. Prime Minister Modi arrived in Muscat on Wednesday for a two-day official visit, marking the final leg of his three-nation tour.
The visit holds special significance as India and Oman commemorate 70 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations. During the visit, both sides are expected to strengthen the India–Oman Strategic Partnership, with a focus on trade, investment, energy, defence cooperation, and people-to-people ties.
Prime Minister Modi was received at the airport by Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik bin Taimur Al Said, and was accorded a ceremonial welcome. The two leaders interacted warmly, exchanging views on the longstanding India-Oman friendship.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi described Oman as a land of enduring friendship and deep historical connections with India, noting that the visit offers an opportunity to explore new avenues of collaboration and add fresh momentum to the bilateral partnership.
